Quickfire post today! Next Sunday (26th March) is Mother’s Day – at least it is here in the UK… over the pond in the US you seem to have it on another random day! But here it’s always three weeks before Easter. Which means it’s nearly Easter, woohoo!
But anyway, back to the subject in hand. I’ve done a round-up of some of my favourite Mother’s Day cards out there at the mo. I’ve also snuck in a cheeky gift for new mums — not technically stationery — as it was too cute to leave out!
So without further ado, here we go:
I love the scalloped edges that Katie Leamon sometimes puts on her cards. It just adds an extra special something to this card.
Anyone who has read this blog will know I’m a sucker for gold foil. This card by Taab London is simple, sweet and will do the trick just fine.
IF you’re planning on sending your mum a lovely big bunch of blooms, this card by Rifle Paper would be perfect
Had to include one by Gemma Correll, who’s illustrations I love. I think most of us will have heard our mums say some, if not all of these phrases at some point. I know I have! You can find this over at Ohh Deer.
I also love Jade Fisher’s illustrations. You can find her stuff over at Papier. Papier is also a good option if you are short of time, as you can usually get your message printed on the inside so you can send it straight to mum. This card is perfect if your mum’s style is even better than your own. That’s a very cool mum.
Finally on the cards front, this Supermum card is also by Jade Fisher at Papier. Every mum is a supermum I reckon.
And finally, I couldn’t resist including this. I’ve got a few friends and family who have had babies recently, and this would be the perfect gift for a new mum. This matching bear sweatshirt and baby grow are so cute!! You can find them over at Clouds & Currents. And if the baby is not so much a baby anymore, you can get the sweatshirt in kids size too.
Adorable. Anyway, hope that’s given you some ideas for Mother’s Day. Get your skates on and send those cards!
